Re: rear outer wheel well question
It looks like an excellent repair on the outer fender.
What is your next challenge? You might want to move this to your build thread. Jake

Re: rear outer wheel well question
I raised all the bolt holes and cut out the lower inner well. My question is any ideas on filling in this area for more tire clearance

Re: rear outer wheel well question
Hand fabbed inners and raised holes 2 inches. folded the edge and spot weld the inner fender to it. There are no store replacements for this. I have more pics on my process.

Re: rear outer wheel well question
Thanks metaldoc. What guage metal did you use for this wheel well mod? It seems pretty this. How did you bend the edge on the bed side inner wheel well? Also, if you don't mind, can you post more pics. Thanks, Clark.

Re: rear outer wheel well question
I use 19 ga steel and bend it on my table edge. 1 inch thick solid steel 22"x33" table top. The edge of the wheel well I bent with a bar, 1/2 " deep cut as shown in pic. I cut the old well out and used it as the template. I drilled holes to spot weld the upper edge, fit it under the bottom on the well and tacked that edge together.

Re: rear outer wheel well question
I think i used 18 gauge on mine. been 2 years now, and used 2 pieces on each side and welded them together..My buddy runs a hot rod shop, so he has all kinds of good stuff laying around.....
