I think the guys are trying to say that the chrome cowl looks fugly.
It is your truck , and if you like it, put it on. Everyone has different tastes. Don't ever let someone tell you how to build your truck. I personally don't like chrome cowls either, but it does not matter what I think, it matters what you like.
