Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
Well you typically order the sway bar for the opposite side of the truck you want handling to improve on. The lower you go, the more you will get out of the sway bars.
Sway bars transfer the load from the outer side wheels to the inner side wheels to keep the chassis leveled during cornering. The way they are designed, the lower you go, the more tension you're gong to put on them, thus working harder when you are cornering. The downside is that too much tension could snap the end link plates. For me it was a no brainer and I ordered front and rear since it was only $200 shipped for both. |

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
Just my .02, unless you're going to be doing any racing, or running cones at the shows.. then not really a need for a rear swaybar. If the truck is lowered, as mentioned that helps a lot and you'll notice a substantial difference with just the front sway bar.
I have driven both and there is definitely a difference with the rear sway bar.. but is it really necessary for a good street driven 6cyl 3ott weekend driver? .. not really. I'd save my money and just replace the trailing arm bushings (unless you have already) that will help a bunch too.

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
I did a front end and suspension overhaul on my truck, so added both sway bars since I was already doing the work. Both sway bars made big difference, it feels like I'm driving a Camaro now. Hahaha. Is it necessary? Maybe not, but a lot of new vehicles come with them now, and not just cars. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I also added a steering stabilizer too, but the need for that is far less than a sway bar.

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
I ordered my front Stabilizer from ECE. Stan doesn't carry a rear stabilizer bar. I suppose I could check Chassis Engineering Inc in Iowa...... Any recommended source for the rear bar ???

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
My front sway bar came from ECE too. From what I read on here, Stan doesn't believe our trucks need a rear bar so they don't sell them. I purchased mine through CPP. The install for both bars was easy enough and they work well together.

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
I put the generic LMC one on mine. I didn't drive it much beforehand, so a comparison is tough, but it does stay pretty flat in turns compared to other ones I've owned.
Necessary? No. Helpful? Seems like it. Downsides? Not so far.

Re: Rear sway Bar ????????
Just ordered the LMC Rear Sway bar to go with the ECE Front sway Bar. I'll try to report on the setup. It will be a while though.
