E-brake cables with '89 HD70 diff
My truck is a 1972 and I installed a 1989 HD70 differential. The end (pressed sleeves) of the e-brake cables that come out off the hub where cut-off by the previous owners. Also one of the cable housing is messed up. What is the best solution... should I run custom e-brake cables, replace both 1989 e-brake cables coming off the differential or will the stock cables (1972) fit the 89 differential? I can post some pics for clarity :-)

I did a similar swap in my 69. I had to source cables from the local GM dealer. I also had to have a different length intermediate cable made

Re: E-brake cables with '89 HD70 diff
When I did the Semi-float 14 in the Jimmy I used my original 12 bolt cables FWIW.

Re: E-brake cables with '89 HD70 diff
Thanks. I think I will just need to remove the drums on both differentials and see what I can "engineer". It would make things easier if I can re-use the original cables.
