How do you remove the rag joint from the steering box?

Just like the title says... I'm replacing my steering box with a new RedHead quick ratio, and the rag joint is stuck on the old box's shaft. I can see that it's splined... but is there a puller tool for this, or is it just supposed to slide off once the bolt is removed? I've been soaking it in PB Blaster. Before I get medieval with the rubber joint (which is in good shape overall) I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. TIA!

You will probably have to try spreading it apart a bit with a screwdriver and then manhandle it a little, that's what I had to do, mine had been on there for 46 years........

I usually put two screwdrivers in the slot on the side and pry them open just a little and then it will slide right off.

Thanks guys. Kind of what I figured, but I've been known to figure wrong plenty of times before...
