Thumbs up The GMC is in hot rod black now...

All part of my evil plan...first I had to strip off all the trim and crap I didn't want painted...

Then i had to stop and read the paper...all that Martha crap in the news...has me tickled to death.
Kinda glad I got that inside info so I could drop all my stock in her...just in time too.
Girl scout cookies were pretty killer too...but i don't think they still make them out of real girl scouts.

So anyways...as I always say, if you don't have the propper tools, find some one who does. Used a D.A. and spent a little time cutting the paint down. Turns out, the hood was not original, but a repop. No wonder it dents so easily.
Here it is while I clean all the sanding dust out of the bay...and out of my tool box and my cart.

With any luck, by this time next week, it'll have some flames on it.
Now i just need to find some one local with the tallent to draw the flames, yet is willing to work for free girl scout cookies.

Here is another cool shot...had to stand on a stool on top of a work bench for this shot...the things I go through for a decent pic, only to be ruined by crappy lighting.

I traded the 396 for some future labor, so no. It is gone. (And that was a total b!tch to get out of the basement) It turned out to be a 402 + it was 10 over.
The side marker light IS in upside down, and it took me a moment to figure how you knew...very good eye I must say. I did that intentially, the black paint that surrounds the two colored sections looked better on the under side, so i flipped it around so you would see that instead of worn spots when you walk up to it.

been thinking about it, but 275/60's on a stock rim would look kinda like a fat guy on a real small kids bike...it might work, but it just wouldn't look right.

Looks like it will run like a scalded dog, nice looking truck.
If I ever get mine one color and decide to change I might
try that look.
