2001 LS pedal

times coming close to put this bad boy in. but I still haven't figured out my pedal. is there any certain year of pedal I need? or can I run any year of pedal for my 2001 LS 5.3 thank you

I like the paint job. been considering painting mine up too.

As for your pedal, I cannot answer since i am not familiar with the 57 chevy trucks. but if i had to guess, assuming your planning to do drive by cable, you could use the gas pedal out of any 70/71 or newer truck and make a mount plate for it and use the cable from the donor vehicle or even a 98-02 camaro?

just a guess. I honestly dont know.

well in that case! use your stock pedal, and slap a cable from a camaro or van or shorten the 99-15 cable. I have been under the impression that the VAN cable is the shorter one and requires no modification. but again, i am working on my 86 (virtually the same as your 75, and i have not gotten to this point yet.

hard to tell what your holding exactly in the photo. but appears to be an aux. vacuum port. block it or use it for whatever you want.

If you have a return style fuel rail, I think that goes to the pressure regulator.

Its on the passenger side.I have the return line pressure hooked up on the drivers side thinking I can hook up my heater vacuum there

I think the pressure regulator is on the other side? The picture is from the rear looking forward. On 2 of my 3 manifolds that port is blocked off, one manifold doesn't even have a nipple there.

The fittings on your sending unit are metric o-ring, I believe M14x1.5 and M16x1.5, if I recall correctly. You can get adapters to convert to AN. Don't cut them off for compression fittings, that's a downgrade since you already have threaded fittings.

Also, those fittings you have listed above are correct. One 3/8 for the fuel supply, one 5/16 for the fuel return. Braided stainless line for the whole length will work, but I would use braided stainless hose to jump to a hard line down the frame, and then back to a braided line from the front of the hard line to the engine. That's just me though, since I tend to have tubing on hand and have all the fittings, unions, and bending tools to do it.

If you do go for full length braided hose, make sure it is PTFE lined! A lot of the AN hose on the market is not very compatible with ethanol fuel and can get soft over time. The PTFE lined hose does not have this problem, but you have to use specific fittings and "olives" with it. Make sure you get it all from one manufacturer.
