Zr2 rear in a second gen 55
Anyone use the springs, and perches out of the s10?. (Changing to s10 perches) I got a smoking deal on one, they cut the frame off at the back of the cab and sold it to me. The track bar is there too but I dont think I will be using it. I would like to put the whole thing in, springs, spring mounts and rear end.
Ive searched all over and came up empty... Last edited by Dave0; 04-06-2016 at 08:15 PM. |

Not sure about the S10 rear- check your width from drum to drum.
I'm using a rear out of a '77 Z28 that fits like a glove in my TF. |

S10 will be narrow and mounting springs might not work on TF, it might work on AD truck.

Re: Zr2 rear in a second gen 55
I just sold my S10 ZR2. The rear in that particular truck is quite stout. I don't remember the exact specs. However I do know that it is 4 inches wider than the stock S-series.
As far as using the ZR2 suspension. In my opinion it is pretty heavy duty. If you are building your truck to be a 4x4 then yes use these spings, but if you are looking at lowering the truck, there are better options out there. |

Yes it will be lowered.
I do have a set of springs on the zr2 clip and I have a pair of stock 2wd s10 springs also. Also with all of the brackets on them... |
