Air Shut-off Valve (aka cowl air-door) Spring
I was just recently introduced to this valve, which sits in the RH corner of the cowl. Word is the spring is hard to come by, but a similar spring may work.
I believe I've found the spring or real close. Link to the valve: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/eQsAAO...LAI/s-l300.jpg Image of the correct spring (see post 16): http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=283860 Image for potential replacement: http://www.4speedconversions.com/3840842_3849704.html Hint: Can locate the springs on FeeBay. Reference: Air-door valve (Possibly 3895485). Potential spring replacement (3840842 or 3849704 - probably 3849704)

Re: Air Shut-off Valve (aka cowl air-door) Spring
Well, maybe not. The small spring is 4" long, and the original is 4.25". You can stretch this one out, meaning it's not real heavy duty. Will it work? can't say for sure.
I read where "just go to the hardware store, find something similar". Don't know where they're shopping, but Blows and Cloan Depot don't seem to carry springs with hooks on the ends.

I was just at my local ace hardware store and saw a row of those type of spring not shure on size but I would try small local store around town.. im not shure if there's a Tacoma screw or a fasteners but I would give them a shot.

Thanks. I believe there's an Ace over the hill. Miss those old hardware stores.
