My poor pitiful 63

Any sane person would have rolled this truck off a cliff, but I'm not very sane. Doing a frame up resto/mod including engine and tranny swap. Couldn't find a cab until after I bought replacement panels ( my luck). Installing a 454 with th400 out of a 79 motorhome. I have found ALOT of good helpful info on this site. Im doing almost all of the work myself with a little help from the hubby (he's stronger than me) So I figured I would share a few progress photos. Any tips and extra info would be great.

Patience and if you get stumped just stop, haste makes waste.

Re: My poor pitiful 63

welcome that old diamond will shine up..... u may wanna brace that cab up to keep it from flexing about before u cut out anymore flooring. I would tack in that rocker and mount the door to see how it fits and brace her in good. and get to work. and keep checking on fit as you progress along. good luck!!

Re: My poor pitiful 63

I have seen much worse.

Typically the rocker is the last piece to go on. And yes you should brace the cab, and also check fitment of the door during the process.

Re: My poor pitiful 63

No I didn't buy a cab, already spent about 800 on replacement panels. Had to fab a piece where the bottom hinge hangs so yes door fitment is next.
