I do believe those go to the backup light switch on a manual transmission

A truck with an automatic has the switch on the steering column, you could remove those wires completely and unhook the same inside the cab on the fuse box and reroute them to the column mounted neutral safety/ backup light switch.

I was looking at redoing my harness in and you can get most of the primary wire and the correct terminal connector for the firewall plug (part #CT712 line:Bwd) at Oreilly.
The terminals are $0.56 each |
