Replacing the Vaccum Booster

Looking to replace the Vacuum Brake Booster as it is a pain to check the oil dip stick, plus it takes up a lot of space in the engine bay. Anybody have any suggestions on how to keep the power brakes, free up the engine bay, and still stop a '72 K20? Still have the original brake setup, disc fronts and drum rears, willing to change that as well if necessary.

Re: Replacing the Vaccum Booster

For better engine access and brake boost look into a hydroboost conversion. It uses hydraulic pressure from the power steering system.

There is an easy solution and one I have done on several horse hauling pickups driven by short gals.
Replace the dip stick and filler assemblies with van units for both the engine oil and trans. While it isn't the prettiest they sure work great with a little modification.
