Re: To buy or not?

I think you did well. IT is a nice clean truck that requires a bit of attention to make it yours, but doesn't look like anything will bite you in the butt. Have fun.

Re: To buy or not?

Did you steal it? No, but you got a fair deal for your location.

In SC, that would have probably sold for 6-7K and it probably would have been for sale for a while (everyone here wants a shortie fleet with an LS).

However, I've seen NY, PA, and OH trucks. I'm originally from NY. Considering your location and the condition you describe, I think you would have no trouble reselling it (if you had to) for what you paid for it, especially removing the goofy chrome and a good detail job.

Those spare tire carriers are cool looking too.

It will look killer with removing that chrome and a 4/6 drop... wink wink...

Re: To buy or not?

I think you got a fair deal also!!!
I'm not a good haggler/negotiator, I have friends that could have bantered back and forth and maybe got a better deal. If $7800 was your first offer and they took it, there's a chance you might have done better, but I'm not trying to belittle you, just glad you were blessed to find something fun to drive and you are happy with your new ride!!!

Another thought...what does $7800.00 buy these days...not what it used to!!!
Have fun!!!
