Welp.....Tranny is shot. :(
Gonna cost me 650 to have it rebuilt. YAY Im so thrilled about that. So I guess I am gonna do a stall while Im at it.
Have to pull the tranny out and take it to them for a full rebuild ....otherwise it would be 950. Paying my buddy that has a shop a minimal fee to pull it and put it back in and let the truck sit in the shop until I get the tranny back. This sux. Then I get to take it to Speed Tek to make the carb right.

Pulling a trans is pretty easy Dave...you could do it at home without much hassle.
But then again...it might make a mess...and we all know how you feel about dirt and messes. :p Good luck with it either way.

650 to rebuild a 700r4? Wow thats pretty cheap. You should have your cooler/radiator flushed also to get any trash out of them so it doesn't mess up the new tranny. Have them install a shiftkit, corvette servo, and .500 boost valve too if that hasn't already been done. You may also want to go with a manual lockup system that locks it up in 4th automatically and allows you to lockup in 2nd and 3rd also manually. I think you can do that just be wiring up a switch to the TCC though if you wanted. I bought a wiring kit from bowtie overdrives for mine since the entire wiring harness was pretty much gona because some idiot cut it out because obviously he didn't think it was important, and he wonders why the transmission fried.

Wish you were closer Dave and I'd help you pull it. Is it not under warranty from the place you bought it? I thought it might be covered but I guess not. $650 is cheap to rebuild it for sure especially with that with a converter.

Well....I would pull it myself but its just soooo much easier to have a lift and all the right tools right there and a painted floor to clean up the messs easy.
Destructo...its a brand new tranny...with all that stuff. Having the 4th gear made into where its pretty much like a 4spd tranny. Will sacrifice a little mpg but who cares...not a dd anymore. Has a new tranny cooler and just recently flushed, the fluid is clean and not burnt...just has some internal slippage problems that need fixed...but might as well fix it all as to make it fresh. This guy has been rebuilding them for over 20 years and builds them all the time for racing applications made to last. Brandon....that is just the price of a rebuild...he is making me a good deal. Im gonna have to buy a converter still.

This is payback for not giving attention to the truck lately.
Sorry, to hear that though.
