Question "Classic Instruments" dash instrument kits?

Looking for people that are running a dash instrument kit from "Classic Instruments" . I see they have kits made specifically for the 67-72 trucks that have a new repo bezel along with different modern instruments out of their collections.
I'm looking for feedback from people who are running these in their trucks. Good, bad ? Pictures are always a bonus.
thanks.

Here you go. I just installed one. You'll find more picks in my build thread which is located below in my signature.

Quality piece, works very well. I think it turned out very nice. I was looking for something that wasn't trendy and would look good 20 years from now.

Re: "Classic Instruments" dash instrument kits?

I have the same Inst as Z10 although I bought the inst and installed them in my existing dash inst surround. I had to have the holes in the inst surround enlarged as the inst bezels are a little larger than the surround holes, at they were in mine.

Re: "Classic Instruments" dash instrument kits?

I've used them for years in several of my trucks. Not the first problem with any of them except my own stupidity one time. The back of the speedo has a series of "dip" switches that need to be set to calibrate the speedometer to actual road speed. I had done the road speed part, found my switch sequence in the chart they provide, but couldn't get the right sequence. I was using a mirror so I thought I was being real clever and reversed the image in my mind. The reality was, I was counting from the wrong side of the row. It took several tries before it dawned on me what was wrong, but once set up no problems. Whenever I go to after market gauges, Classic is where I get them.

I like the look. What exactly are all the gauges? It is a little hard to make them all out in the pic.

Thank you. When I called Classic I told them what I thought I wanted, and they had everything except a vacuum gauge. They did have a boost gauge however which was boost to the right, and vacuum to the left, so it worked out anyway.
Across the top is ; Speedometer, Temp/Volt, Tach. across the bottom are the Vacuum/Boost, Air pressure (the green needle is the rear bags, the red will be the front if I ever put them in.) Fuel, then Oil Pressure. The bottom light switch on the right is; first notch which would have been parking lights is the cab lights, then all the way out is cab and fog lights.

Tell me about your steering column/wheel. Where did they come from?

Thank you!

The original column was rusted out on the bottom and both bearings needed replacing. It was less expensive to replace it than it would have been to rebuild it.

The column is a common short unit from "Ididit". I don't remember the part number, but told them what it was for and they had it on the shelf. It's the basic steel jacket that I polished and clear-coated. The wheel is the original painted body color. The horn button is an after market stock unit.
