66 c10 drop spindles

Any thoughts on the type of front and rear coil springs while installing a BBC 396. I was thinking to install 2 inch drop spindles and wanted to level out the truck. I don't want to change out any of the original bracketry except the spindles and springs. thanks!

My thoughts would be once you go with a company to change out components stay with that company all the way through.
So you have Performance on Line - POL who is also Western Chassis and Classic Performance Products - CPP. If you want to more extreme there are other companies.

The extra weight of a big block is going to compress a given spring more than with a small block. So a 1" dropped spring will likely give you 2" or more.

Re: 66 c10 drop spindles

I was thinking 2/2.5 drop spindles; lmc sells standard front bbc coil springs; then use 4 inch drop rear springs. I think that will make it level ; If I do this can I stay with all stock shocks and front stock steering components ?

2/2.5" spiple up front....probably 4" or 5" coil in rear to level it. U'll need shorter shocks for the rear (or the shock extender kit if you want to use stock shocks)
