anyone use one of these crossmembers?

Looks like it would add clearance for exhaust. a little pricey though

Porter makes one similar to that also. But no offense to the one you posted and Porters. Trust me I love me some Porter Built. But neither of those crossmembers are of the caliber that the American Powertrain Crossmemer is. Stronger 1000 ft-lbs rated plus will accommodate many GM trans platforms. For my application The APC was a direct bolt in.

You had a factory double hump crossmember and decided to run this one instead?

Yeah kinda, hacked up a C-20 double hump for more room for 3" exhaust.

But when I had the engine out this time I notched the engine mounts moved the engine back to the firewall

And it was 14 lbs lighter.

Gotcha. I saw where you gave one away the other day and wondered. The ebay auction you linked and the one linked above by Custom.Chevy use the same picture so I'm assuming it's the same one. That's Captkaos website in the first link, I did not know he sold those.

Yeah, Malo83 lives 20 minutes away from me or so. And he he is planning an LS swap.
And I don't need any more c10 parts piled up in my garage.

And i think the 2 different ebay ads are for powder coat and raw steel, I wanted to look at the welds, so I got the raw one
