The AAW kit was really not bad at all. The hardest part is figuring out what wires you need, and which you don't (I am going LS so I thought ahead to what I might need). Not hard at all. I, 100%, recommend the Delco crimpers. They were extremely easy to use and worked every time. Since I am going to go LS this coming winter, I did a bit of prep work and wrapped the wires that are going to no longer be needed separately for easy removal from the harness without having to unwrap the entire engine harness.

Re: My 72 SWB Progress

I did the same thing with the wiring for the gages. Hopefully it will speed things up.

Re: My 72 SWB Progress

Wiring is 99% done. I need to finish up the fan relays and install the wrapped engine harness. I went a little overboard with the grounds. The battery grounds to the block, which is connected to the frame, which connects to the core support, cab and bed. It lacked grounding before. I want everything to work correctly. My retrosound radio didn't work with a damn prior to all of the additional grounds. Works like a champ now.

Now I can focus on rebuilding the 6.0 and getting ready for this fall/winter.

Complete engine/light harness ready for wrap

Wrapped up with pvc harness wrap

Rear light connection
