Starter issue
Hi I recntly purchased a stock starter for my 83 c10 it had a mini aftermarket starter at the time but went out and I never had a problem
With it starting till now the new stock starter I got I hooked up just like the store told me to cuz it hooked up different from the aftermarket one and now everytime I turn the key it will stay on while the truck runs and it will also stay on when the truck is off I checked my wires and they all looked good I can't figure out the problem any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance |

Be sure you solenoid is connected correctly.

I'm Pretty sure it is the store told me 3 of the main wires go to it and the ground wire goes on the S side of the solenoid

S on the solenoid is not ground, its the (purple on older stuff) wire coming from the ignition and its hot when the key is in the start position.
