water on floorboard
I have a '69 chevy c10. When it rains, the floorboard on both sides get wet. I wondered if anyone else had this problem. I thought it might be the vents letting in the water,,,,but with the truck setting,,,,I wondered how the water is getting in. We've had alot of rain (florida) lately, one vent was closed,,,the other open, both sides had water on the floor mats. Thanks,,,Bill

Re: water on floorboard
It's probably coming from a bad windshield seal.

Re: water on floorboard
What do your drip rails look like? Some people clean out the old drip rail sealant and don't put any back in, or it gets old and cracked out.
Also, run a hose through the cowl opening and look for leaks. If no leaks, have someone spray directly at the windshield seal and look for leaks.

Re: water on floorboard
I would suggest pulling the cowl off and looking in that way. Unfortunately, the original design created multiple places for crud to get trapped and start the rust process. You might be surprised what you find under there.....

Re: water on floorboard
I agree with the windshield seal causing this but wanted to add that I've had the antenna wire penetration cause a leak (passenger side only).

Re: water on floorboard
Mine turned out to be leaking around the rear window and traveling to the front floor area. Took awhile to find but finally got it re-sealed.
