My friend calls them Awfulcars. Not sure why, but I don't let it bother me. I've told him how much I like them, one of my favorites. They go way way back, kept on going, always tough stout traditional appearance. There is a guy with a '75 tandem dump that has a gold cab with black fenders and steel dump body. The sides of the hood are louvered. I have seen him up and down the hiway since back then and still do. Always cleaned up. I have talked to the guy and when it was new he showed it for Autocar. He removed all the emblems so it would be easier to wax. Never had the fancy Alcoas, just kept the 2pc cast wheels detail painted and clean. Had just the right bright stuff to show some pride while maintaining a working truck appearance. The weight laws changed, so he went to an aluminum dump body and added a tag axle
