basic rear drum to disc brake conversion
I have searched the topic of converting my rear drum brakes to disc brakes to exhaustion. Let me start by saying I want disc brakes so please refrain from trying to convince me to keep the drums. My initial plans were to do a porter build airbag suspension but that has now been put on hold and I want to shift my focus to just getting the truck on the road. I want a basic rear disc brake setup with emergency brake. As much as I want a Wilwood brake kit, I do not NEED a wildwood brake kit, therefore that will also have to wait. If you have part numbers that would be extremely helpful. or if you can link me to a thread on this subject that perhaps I may have missed, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: basic rear drum to disc brake conversion
Ok, I won't say it, you know, that you don't need disks in the rear.. I just will not say that. At all. But if you don't "need" wilwoods and you just want to get the truck on the road (which implies it's not roadworthy at the moment), then I'd submit you don't need basic rear disks either. Dang, I said it, didn't I... Sorry. BUT, I can understand the desire to do what your long term goal up front and add the parts you want along the way in order to avoid buying new drums, for instance. So, with that in mind - this one would be my recommendation if you want a kit with everything you need: https://www.performanceonline.com/71...it-rear-5-lug/
