clutch pedal design ?
Curious. Do all clutch pedals for this era of truck look like the one in this picture. Has a spring on the side of the pedal up to a bracket on the top of the pedal housing ? Seems I have one that isn't like this or it has been pieced together. Mine has a spring from the hole in the top of the clutch pedal to the housing and the top bracket is different shape.

Ahh Thanks. Yes I have the smaller spring back towards the firewall but I had bought it second hand for a manual swap. That is why I was wondering.

Be *REAL* careful futzing around with that assembly. Many years ago, I was pulling mine out, and the pedal arm got tapped, and the spring pulled it up over-center and lopped off the end of my finger in the process. That spring is No-$#!+ serious.

I believe the one in the above pic is for 4 wheel drive if I remember correctly.
