vacuum line fitting in intake goes into coolant
Attempting to install vacuum fitting for my booster in my intake for my power disc brake conversion. I noticed that if I squeeze the radiator hose, coolant will shoot out the end of the fitting. Is this supposed to happen? I installed the fitting underneath my kick down cable bracket as you can see in the photo.

Re: vacuum line fitting in intake goes into coolant
That goes into the water jacket not for engine vac, install a plug in there. The one behind carb is for brake booster

Re: vacuum line fitting in intake goes into coolant
That black hose is fine. That silver fitting without a hose is in your coolant passage, not the intake.

Re: vacuum line fitting in intake goes into coolant
About 30 years ago I was working at a GM dealership, genius in the stall next to me was installing an engine in a medium duty. Yep he crossed the hoses for the Hydra-vac unit and the cooling system. About 6-7 gallons of coolant later, he had a real mess on his hands
