Trucks from the 2016 Vintiques NW Nationals

I made my annual trip up to the Vintiques of Yakima Northwest Nationals this afternoon to see what was there.

Here are most of the 47/59 Chevy trucks plus maybe a few more and an ot rig or two that might be interesting.

This one was sitting outside with a big for sale sign.

A young friend of mine who has a shop near Outlook Wa He builds some nice award winning trucks.

Ot but when you are turbocharged and run in the tens you are cool.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Trucks from the 2016 Vintiques NW Nationals

I really would have liked to get this vise and it's stand but didn't want to lug it to my car.

This is the car that the decked out 250 is in that I showed the other night in the Sea Galley cruise thread.

I see this TF every year but it doesn't change much

Yep it's a Ford but this if for the guys that think "patina" is a new hot lick thing. This truck hasn't changed since I first saw it in the early 80's and it has parked in that same spot at every Vintiques show every year since the first time I saw it sitting there.

If you are thinking about one of those bent in the middle one piece windshields take a real serious look at this one. The truck is one of the best built trucks in the PNW but the windshield really detracts from all the hard work and wild paint.

Blue is pretty nice too.

This is a friend of mine's shop truck and yes he did have a mechanics shop for a lot of years. Now it's a big toy box.

How about a pale yellow TF

Red and really slick.

The little black truck that I took photos of the other night. Pretty much stone stock.

All set for front end Friday and yes I really like that truck a lot.

Yep, I took this one sitting down on a Bench in the shade while talking to one of my first students who is still a good friend listening to him tell about the Pro street 55 tudor post he is bulding. The man builds some serious cars and this has been his car since high school. Big block 4 speed 72 Heavy Chevy that was painted by another former student.

They were handing out some awards and this truck received the fist one. OMG is that one nice truck packing a 1000 hp Dart engine that sounds ten times meaner through the mufflers than most any open header rig.

I took this one of the truck sitting outside as I was walking out from the show headed to my car.

I only took 219 photos this year as my battery in my camera was a bit low and my spare died. here is the Photobucket album with those photos.

The stone stock black truck - what is that hanging on the passenger side???

The patina Ford - Guy is rolling with a Boler Camper, AWESOME. I have 1975 Boler i have towed behind my '58 and it gets plenty of looks.

One of the evaporative coolers, can't think of the brand right now but back in the day you put water/ice in them and they worked to cool the inside of the rig going down the road. Now they are usually lowrider or restored car decoration.

Thermador is one brand that is highly sought after now.
