Blazer sloppy steering

My 71 blazer had an alignment and when I drive it always seems to walk of to the left or right every so often. The steering seems very loose compared to my c10. I have a steering stabilizer but who knows how old. They told me everything looks good. I have no sway bar. Would a sway bar solve the problem or maybe a new stabilizer?

I got pulled over for that once. Turned out the steering box wasn't bolted tight to the frame. Easy fix, been tight ever since. Check that before getting too deep

I suggest you also check the condition of the ball joints in your steering knuckles, and wheel bearings. Slop in either of these areas will cause wandering in the steering.

I had the same issue recently. I rebuilt the front end using Moog stuff and it didnt change. So I kept reading and everyone was very high on Redhead steering boxes so i bit the bullet...Problem FIXED!!!!!
I had bought a rebuilt one from a parts store a couple of years ago helped some but still wondered..call the guys at Redhead!!!

Just installed a RedHead box after fighting the bad steering for years. Made all the diffrence, should have done it years ago. Best money ever spent.....

My steering is sloppy as well. Everything in the front end has been replaced and is tight. Finally bought a new steering box, even though the guy I had bought my blazer from had replaced it recently - still floats and has slack in the steering box.

Will a Redhead box seriously solve my problem? What is the difference in these boxes vs others? Two different shops have told me its my big tires - 33x12.5's - but I see lots of guys run these without steering issues. Toe, and alignment has also been done.

All I did was install a quick ratio box with new rag joint from RedHead and also replaced the entire steering column. I have the same size tires that you have. Truck drives nice enough to now to drive daily, also added vintage air but that is another story for later...

I ran 33.1250.15 to start with. Before I put my 4 inch sky jacker and 35.12.50.15 with 10'' rallys and of course it was still the same but I ended up with some bump steer. It was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. So I tried the redhead box and bam....problem fixed. The box that was on there was new from local parts store...

My 72 GMC has bump steer and sloppy with 35 inch tires. What box do I need for ps box for a 72. I only see passenger car one listed?
