Has anyone used painless #60116 for speedometer
I was reading and came across this option to make speedometer work in older cars and trucks that doesn't have electric speedos. Have anyone used them and how? Let us know

Re: Has anyone used painless #60116 for speedometer
Since this is in the LS section I am going to make an assumption that that is what you are working on. That 60116 is for an older trans to out put a speed signal. It screws on the Speedo cable out put on the trans and is a pass through and a signal generator. For the LS swapper it is exactly backwards.
You would need one like this. http://www.atrol.com/cablex.htm that wires in and uses the speed signal to drive a electric motor to turn the cable. Hope this helps Jay

I used this https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-ecd-100-1
It took a little to get it adjusted but works great. |
