Black chrome on 72 grill??
Anyone ever tried this? There is a clear coat spray thats supposed to look like black chrome and I was thinking that might look cool on a 72 grill shell that I want to put on whitelightning. I know no one else has done this to a grill but has anyone used the black chrome spray on something else? Or maybe someone has painted a grill gray or close to that color? Or has pics of someone who has?

Re: Black chrome on 72 grill??
I tried a can of black chrome spray paint on my cars trim before and I did not like how it turned out. It always came out blotchy. Trying to fix the uneven spray pattern ended up looking like I just used a gloss black paint, no chrome effect was left. Maybe I just suck at spray painting, but I've never had any trouble with solid colors or clear coats before.
I've thought about painting my bumpers black chrome, but I won't waste my time with the spray stuff again. My idea now it to try some tinted vinyl, or window tint, or something similar... Not sure if it will turn out like I imagine, but I haven't had time to experiment. I'm interested in seeing if anyone else has more info on the subject.
