Re: Foreign Model C10 Tail Lights
I'm seeing taillights and headlights at the same time. So confused.

Re: Foreign Model C10 Tail Lights
I hear that. That picture belongs to one of our members but I can’t remember his screen name. If I remember correctly he lives in El Paso. All credit for that picture goes to him, I just borrowed it when I ran across it while googling Mexican Chevrolet trucks to find a tail light picture and that one had a very clear view of the lights

Re: Foreign Model C10 Tail Lights
Quote:
Run one wire from the brake pedal to the taillight harness plug and rework the tailight harness plug to include a fifth wire. Delphi makes a 5 position round Weatherpak... http://www.amazon.com/5-Position-Weather-Pack-3-pa...If you have an 85 or later rig you'll only have to extract all 8 terminals from the 4 position square 2x2 Weatherpak and re-insert them into the new 5 way round connectors. The stock brake light wire runs from the pedal to the column and through the turnsignal switch to the tails. Remove the brake switch wire from the column harness plug and route it to your add on brake wire. Re-route the turn wires at the tails from the red 1157 bright filament to your 1156 amber bulb sockets leaving a pigtail wire hanging from the bright side of the red 1157 sockets. Ground your 1156 amber socket to the same sheetmetal ground as the rest of the tails with a ring terminal. Hook your dangling 1157 pigtails to the new brake wire and test...

Re: Foreign Model C10 Tail Lights
You dont have anything close to the american style lights and if you really want the mexicano lights order them on ebay and install them interesting to see all these different chevy light styles yours is the first kind of that tail light variant ive seen hard to believe gm took the time to make them all so different but im sure the were going by each countries legal taillight size your best bet is to order after markets and do some metal fab. And look up a american 1972 c10 and a 1987 c10 you will see the big difference between the two
