I think it's a shortbed, it's hard to tell without a cab to judge it against.

The pics and paint could be decieving, but it looks like a short bed to me too.......

look at this picture you can see the bed stake pocket above the wheel well. The short bed only has 2 one in front and one in rear. This one is a long bed.

It is a long bed. On the short bed, the two tall mounts that you can see on the frame are not used. Also, the crossmember on a short bed frame is well up under the cab since the trailing arms are the same for short bed and long bed.

I am about to buy a 72, just for the suspension stuff... disc brake setup and power brake booster, 5 lug front and rear, etc.... The rest I am planning to part out, give away, etc...depending on what is wanted. It is a fleet side and I am 90% sure it's short bed. It looked to be in good shape, but I was concentrating on the brakes, not the body. It is in Mississippi, so I don't know how that would help you, but if you are interested, let me know. I'll get a better look at it as soon as possible.
