Harness q - where do these connectors go?

I'm finally getting around to plugging the harness in on my 6.0/4L80e swap on the 71. There are 2 connectors that were paired up in the same loom as the other trans connectors, and I can't figure out where they are supposed to go. Also, I don't see a connector on the harness for the socket you see on the shifter.

Those connectors were for the shift indicator on mine. My connector didn't look like the one in your picture with no plug, but I also have a 4l60e

Hmmm. Thanks. Maybe I need to steal the plug off the old harness that came with the engine and figure out the pinouts and cross the old and new.

On the 4L80 those go to the manual lever position sensor on the side of the transmission. It tells the computer which gear it's in, they look like they are for the older version. Just curious as to the year of the drivetrain combo and what it's out of.

The engine/trans that I bought was out of a 05 Express van. The trans has a Jasper sticker on it so it might be from a different year, and I haven't pulled the original harness out yet and looked at it, but I assume it has the right connector.

The harness I bought from 68 Four on the Floor along with a ECU and I believe it came from a 02 Silvy with 6.0/4L80e.

Re: Harness q - where do these connectors go?

I just checked on rockauto and it looks like they switched the nss/range sensor in mid 04. The one that works with those plugs would be one for an 02 transmission like this

I'm not sure if you could just repin it but its easy enough just to change out the sensor than to make the newer one work with the older wiring. Just my $0.02

On the 2 that I took off it wasn't too hard unless you are trying to save the old one. Both of them for me were stuck really tight on the shift arm and I had to break them to get them off but I didn't care because they were already garbage.
As far as I know there is no trick to getting them off just unbolt it and start pulling and working it off the shaft.

Mine slid right off. New one arrives Thu. As my good friend Paul (88ironduke) said "nickels and dimes will eat your lunch".

Amazon is my new favorite parts supplier. With Prime it's cheaper than rockauto and I get everything in 2 days.
