1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch
Hi basics of my truck first I am building a 1950 Chevy truck it is a 3/4 ton but being cut down to 1/2 ton. I'm putting a ls376 500HP with a t56 tremec 6 speed manual in it if I can figure out ways around my problems. This is a hotrod so the original clutch pedal is gone and instead it is just a single power brake pedal.
The tremec comes with a hydraulic clutch. But since my clutch pedal and linkage is gone how would I go about hooking up the clutch pedal and resivoir and what parts would I need like pedal resivoir and braided line or whatever else I would need. I can't find where anyone has done this but I really need a little help on what I should do. Thanks any help is appreciated. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch
I'd be hunting for a late model brake and clutch setup with master cylinder, booster, clutch master cyiinder and pedal assembly That I could pull out of a donor and swap in to the truck in place of the setup you have now.
Someone else will probably suggest and hopefully show photos of an installation of a certain donor model assembly they have used. The S-10 frame swap brigade tends to use every piece off those donor rigs that they can including brake pedal, booster and master cylinder and the clutch master cylinder is small and just a little ugly.

Blake, I am attempting the same thing with and LS 3 and a TR6060. I was looking into these folks for a pedal solution.http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/compa...r_systems.html

Re: 1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch
This guy put a T56 in his TF truck.
Look how he did his swing pedals and clutch master: http://www.trifive.com/forums/showth...86#post1322186 He bought his transmission from American Power Train. I suspect they helped him out with the clutch master and slave too. It would be the first place I would call. |

Re: 1950 chevy Hydraulic clutch
After further reading of his build thread, I see gotmotors bought his TF swing pedal setup from Scott's Hot Rods.
