Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
You can get an unloaded booster from NAPA. That's where I got mine.

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
For my 1970 3/4 2500 I bought one from www.brakeboosters.com
I forget where I got the prop valve, but I know they're not cheap (like $250 from memory).

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
^^ What he said. There was no proportioning valve with your drum/drum system, it came with a distribution block. Similar appearance but different inside.....

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
Correct, mine is drum drum, so I need the distribution block. Do you know where to get that at?

http://www.inlinetube.com/_p/prd14/2...on-block-pr112 I thought they also sold the bracket, but I don't see it on their website. Might be worth a call though. Those they have for the cars don't look right. Last edited by FirstOwner69; 10-20-2016 at 04:57 PM. |

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
I should point out, as other's have noticed, that mine is a '72 front disc conversion, it also had drums and no prop valve originally. Sorry, I completely forgot it wasn't original to my truck!

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
What are you suggesting, that he rebuild his own booster? Just opening one requires an arbor press and courage.... and it's not the safest thing in the world either, there's a ton of potential energy in there. Enough that it can fly all the way across your shop and hit your Camaro.

Re: Booster and Proportioning valve
another brake question. Is there a difference in the lines ( like dia) between a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton? Or do they all use the same size lines?
