1972 Suburban Final finish
Got some ideas on the final finish of my truck..
Which one would you pick????????? 1. Sand it down and go with a Patina look 2. Paint it Matte Red Primer 3. Get it wrapped as the Attached blue with White roof . 4. Get it painted as the Attached Blue with White roof . ------------------------------------------------- Interior 1. Rhino guard the floor 2. Carpet the floor |

Re: 1972 Suburban Final finish
I'd paint it with carpet inside - rhino lining the interior is a disservice to the person doing any future repairs or a future owner. And patina trucks are cool, but I dig a good factory pain job more than any other approach.

Re: 1972 Suburban Final finish
To me the real question is how much do you want to spend on doing this? A wrap is a much different cost than painting the truck.

IMO, blue paint with white roof would have the highest cost, but would also add the most value. In fact, I don't think they other 3 options given would add any value at all.

Re: 1972 Suburban Final finish
As far as cost to wrap, 4 years ago a friend wrapped his new Suburban to the tune of $2500. He wanted a matte finish with a skull and didn't want to take a resale hit or have it hard to sell later. $2500 is definitely cheaper than a quality paint job (not including body work)
On a different note. I agree with Alex V, plus nowdays informed buyers are learly of the "Rhino Lining" style coatings, as they have been used by disreputable people so often to hide issues in vehicles. Just my two cents worth, which doesn't get you much these days. What does the Burb look like now?

Re: 1972 Suburban Final finish
Cool! I really dig 4x4's with painted bumpers and I'm partial to green Burbans.
