Glove Box Door Color

Will someone tell me why some glove box doors are black and some are interior color. I have a 68 chevy, orange /orange interior metal, black door panels, seat, and dash pad. should the glove box be black or orange? Thank you.

Re: Glove Box Door Color

Should be orange to match the rest of the painted metal on the dashboard.
The higher end GMCs had the "same color" scheme on the dash, glove box, and door panels.

Re: Glove Box Door Color

Yep. My 69 GMC, plain jane, has the dash panel, the glove box, and the door panels all painted the same colour (roughly) as the bench seat. The rest of the dash, doors, and interior, is painted the dark green colour that is the dominant colour in the two-tone paint job.

Re: Glove Box Door Color

Ok, but which models, or options, CST ect, had black or the metal matching color?

Re: Glove Box Door Color

Generally a 68 Chevy glovebox door should match the primary painted interior metal regardless of trim level.

Re: Glove Box Door Color

1967 trucks had black dash pads, door panels, glove box. I think all the others were painted to match the dash.
