51 gmc seat
I'm looking for bench seats
I've searched the web and this forum and the only thing I can find at my local wrecking yards are post 2000 vehicles. Wiseguys make a beauty, but I don't have a spare $1,500 for a frame sitting around. Anyone install a post 2000 bench seat that has a relatively flat back and lower profile that fits these trucks. An on board seat belt would be a bonus. thanks. I forgot to add that this is resto of a rust bucked. The original mounting tub/seat are gone. I'm starting with a bare floor. |

You can look @ 2/3 row tahoe seats. I think some guys have also used the 2nd row out of a durango. Then there's the tried and true 2/3 row seats out of an astro van.

Re: 51 gmc seat
Your tape measure is your best friend in this case and you may have to look at some other rigs rather than GM.
I keep looking at the seat in the 92 Dakota that I drug home for the front suspension and steering as a good possibility if I decide to go bench rater tan buckets. The bench in the Dakota is 56 inches wide and seats 3 rather easily. It isn't too fancy for an early truck either.
