Hello all... I'm in the process of getting my stuff together to bag my 63 Gmc long bed but I was wondering how hard is it to do with a one piece driveshaft?

Depending on how low you go. I had to go 2 piece driveshaft on my '62 Short bed because of the X frame tunnel clearance. I thought the long bed would have had a 2 piece. Easiest thing to do is cycle the suspension or just the driveshaft.

I don't plan on laying frame or anything just cup the lower arms and a step notch and a 4 link in the rear. I wonder if there is a way to switch to a 2 piece driveshaft on a long bed?

Most longbeds came from the factory with a 2 piece driveshaft. Does your GMC have a crossmember in the frame just behind the back of the cab? If so, that is likely where the carrier bearing will mount. If you do go with a 2 piece, I would suggest the HD driveshaft and carrier bearing as opposed to the light duty assembly. I do make the mounting plate for the HD carrier bearing, if you end up needing one.

Thanks for the reply... I will look today when I get off work and see it it has the crossmember behind the cab. If it does is there a 2 piece driveshaft that is interchangeable that I can use? And if it don't have the crossmember is there somewhere I could buy a new one? Again thanks for yalls help. 👍
