73-74 grille swap
I'm planning to swap my 80 c10 grille over to the 73-74 grille. I ordered the kit that comes with the center hood latch bracket as well as the side brackets. It appears there should be 2 more vertical brackets that help secure the grille at the spots I've circled in the attached picture. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks

Re: 73-74 grille swap
The gmc has the extra brackets with the holes that space the mounting points to the outside and the Chevy uses the inner holes. It does not have the brackets, but does have the holes to bolt up the extra brackets. Let me know if you need a tape measure laid across them or anything I'll be glad to help

Re: 73-74 grille swap
The mounting points for the holes you have circled are part of the 73-74 core support, they do not unbolt. I believe most people just skip them or make their own.

Re: 73-74 grille swap
He's right. It is the second layer of the support 90'd towards the grille
