Okay my dad is FINNALY gettin the 58 goin again, and i was wonderin how good a 235 I6 is? and how common is the big window option?

235 is reliable as a clock. Big windows are plentiful but not too common. Post pic's please!

Keep oil in it, do not over rev it and they will last a long time. Mine had 225K miles when I pulled it. More expensive to rebuild than run of the mill SBC or BBC because of economies of scale in parts availability. Go to inlinners site for inspiration on what they can do.

The 235 will get you where ever you wish to go. 2000 to 2200 RPM is an ideal cruising RPM and 2500 shift is a push as they are very torquie. A rear diff gear change may be required if you plan on hitting an interstate as the stock gears are very steep. Taller tires will help this cause also.

Big back windows are plentiful despite many thinking very rare. Stainless cab trim, chrome gauges and factory radio are more rare than the BBW (in my opinion).
