Taligate Lock / Window winder issue
soooo got the 75 back - SO much fun driving it again. However I need to be able to wind the window down to open the tailgate. The old handle had no key so the shop had to take it off to paint and couldn't replace it. They recut the cylinder for a new key and set it in an new assembly. HOWEVER, the old cylinder just falls out of the assembly and I cannot get the window open. ANYONE know where I can buy a DECENT rear gate winder / handle??

Re: Taligate Lock / Window winder issue
I think most venders have them. I got a new one for my 74 but don't remember where??
Try the usual-Brothers, Classic, etc.

Re: Taligate Lock / Window winder issue
I replaced the lock cylinder in my 79 several years ago, it was frustrating getting the new cylinder to seat in the crank. I didn't have any instructions and I don't remember what it took, but after half hour or so fiddling with it I finally got it to seat and lock in place. I know that's not very helpful, but don't give up on it.
