1986 K30- replacing hydro boost- Pedal Code?
So my 86 K30 srw 3+3 has a leaking hydro to master leak. Leaking for way too long now.
Rock auto lists rebuilt units but lists 2 different pedal codes. Question- what's a pedal code and how do I find out what my pedal code is? Thanks for any info!

Re: 1986 K30- replacing hydro boost- Pedal Code?
I don't know about the pedal code.
I have 2,C-30's,An 82 and a 86. Both have hydroboost and use different length push rods between the hydroboost unit and master cylinder. This is the difference in the depth of the hole in the master. I understand the brake rod is mounted different on the pedal for hydroboost than on regular or vacuum assist brake pedals. Mike. |

Mike, can the rods be swapped like on the boosters? This will be the first time messing with a hydroboost system for me.

Re: 1986 K30- replacing hydro boost- Pedal Code?
The difference in the rods is because of the different master cylinders.
Far as I know, the hydroboost units are the same. It works! Mike. |
