Blazer bumpers on trucks

My 84 k2500 has mashed bumpers but I got my hands on some 85 blazer bumpers in good shape. Yes I know the rear will be slimmer but will it bolt up?

Re: Blazer bumpers on trucks

The correct term is "sport" bumper, and yes they will bolt up. That sport bumper was standard on Blazers and Suburbans, and available on trucks as well. The only thing different are the brackets. The outer brackets will work just fine, but the inner two brackets are Blazer/Suburban specific.

Just to add to this: As I found out the inner ones on suburbans actually just bolt directly to the frame. Not sure if blazers are the same.

Yep. Burbs use the frames horns vs the inner brackets the trucks require because the frames are cut off (@ least the ones I've pulled the bumpers off).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
