late 70s 2wd lwb sbc Weights
Can somebody with a late 70s preferably a 1978 C10 2wd long bed 350cu th350 please weigh there truck on a scale and post the weight. Its asking alot i know but im kind of in a bind.
I started back halfing my truck so i could lower it significantly when i decided to build a 4 link and coil over set up. my bed is off and in storage (not enough room) the truck is apart and so not derivable.Plus its winter and there is 12 inches of snow on the ground so no matter what i cant take it anywhere. I want to order coil overs and have a good idea about spring rates based on internet searched weights. the problem is i have seen weights for this exact truck ranging from 4200# down to 3,779# and i would really like a actual scale number since the factory curb weights and shipping weights seem to very so much. Thank you. corner weights would be super bad ass. but ill take totals.

Go to the heritage center documents, look up your model, then look at the weight of options if significant, add in gas and operator. I was surprised at how little difference long to short bead, and how much from 1/2 to 3/4 ton.

also while i was doing work in my back half has anyone ever noticed how off the alignment of the rear axles are. my passenger side rear wheel is 1/2" closer to the cab than the driver side rear wheel and thats with the factory positioning. Thank god im putting in adjustable 4 link.
