A bucket seat question
Good Afternoon,
I discovered this forum after I purchased my 86 GMC short bed . Soon I'll be sending it off to be repainted and as a part of that refurbishing I will be replacing the very faded interior. I am or was planning on replacing the bench seat with a set of low back buckets and console from a 1988-95 GMC. I have hit a snag what I thought was going to work for seat tracks will not. What recommendations does anyone have for making those low back buckets adaptable to my 86 GMC Thank You David |

Re: A bucket seat question
Thank you for the responses. Yes , I have looked at the you tube video's and thought I had a direction before I started this post , today however I discovered the seat tracks that would be used in the videos and as mentioned on another forum are actually to long for the 88-95 low back bucket . The seat track is too long for the seat . The tracks original to the buckets would make the seat set way too high as the floor in our trucks is not flat
I have seen pictures of these seat installed so there is a solution |
