Coil Spring Length
73-87 chevy c10 2wd shortbed stock not bagged or lowered, can anyone tell me what the length of the front coil spring (top to bottom) when the truck is at ride height and full weight of truck is on it?

Re: Coil Spring Length
Moog #6452 is shown as the "standard" spring replacement for 1982 C10.
Free height: 13.64" Installation height: 10" Rate: 843 lbs/in Here's a Moog #6454 HD spring: Free Height: 13.61" Installation height: 10" Rate: 1060 lbs/in But none of the above really helps you. A better measurement might be "fender lip to center of spindle" on a stock C10. But that would vary with age of spring, engine weight, etc. FYI, the only GM specs I could find are "Springs @ Ground". For the standard GM spring it's 1475 lbs each. For HD spring it's 1750 lbs each.
