Harrison Deluxe Heater Motors

I have a 46 Harrison Deluxe heater I would like to salvage as I like the way it looks. It is the square kind and has two motors. One for the defrost and one for the heat. They are two different sizes

First thing is to have the core tested to see if that is good. Once determined, I will then look for 12V replacements for the two motors.

All I have is the heater and not sure how it was wired up. I assume will need relays for each motor and separate switches?

Anyone recommend replacement motor source?

Relays would make the load on the switches and system in general a lot lighter. Heater motors tend to draw a load that is more than some wiring can handle.

The separate switch idea isn't a bad one as you may want to run one or the other but not both at one time or another.

On the motors you need the shaft size, distance between the mounting screws and the general overall size of the motor.
