Thought I'd take some pictures of shortening my 8.8 diff housing. I got the instructions off of a fabrication website. What they recommend was cutting the drivers side axle tube 2&7/8" and using a shorter passenger side axle as a replacement. Which actually ended up cantering the original off center center section of the Ford Explorer housing.

Also, the original kick panels between the running boards and the box were too close to the cab because I made the box sides and slid them forward to close the gap a bit between the box and the cab. So I bought new ones and cut/ shaped them to better fit the cab.
