66 Chevy Radio Identification
I recently purchased a bunch of parts from a large group of parts from a retiring truck enthusiast that had mainly 64-66 Chevy Pickups . I have never seen a radio like this , just wondering if anyone else has or any information on it. The dial bezel looks similiar to the 60-66 Chevy Pickups but of course different letters and then of course the push buttons . Appreciate any information or input. Thanks

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I am going to take it out to one of the 64-66 Chevy trucks I have and see if it will fit in the dash opening. Would be neat if it would and then a dash change would be something different. Still just an AM radio though. Thanks again.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
They have places that can make those old radios AM/FM Bluetooth and USB capable.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
Well , I took it out to one of the 64-66 Chevy pickups I am parting out that had a totally uncut radio dash area. The radio and shafts fit perfectly. Going to ditch these knobs and put an original set on. I guess its kind of the mystery radio . I guess the old timer I bought out knew something I did not.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
I'm not absolutely certain, but I think that might be a Motorola (or other aftermarket brand) radio. Back in the day, they used to make versions that mimic the look and fitment of the factory radios.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
That looks like 64 Impala radio. They fit in the same size opening as our trucks.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
Ran across this on the web. The last photo shows this radio. Sorry for the poor quality. Also found this radio on the Bendix Radio Site. Apparently this radio was intstalled on some types of Chevrolet trucks. Maybe commercial.

Re: 66 Chevy Radio Identification
Bendix and Motorola made radios in an "aftermarket" alternative to the factory Delco radios that Chevrolet used. I have a Motorola brand AM-FM I found in a 1966 C20 . As cru_zn_29 said , 1963 and 1964 Impala used the same basic radio with knobs like yours for 1964. Delco made an AM-FM for the 63-64 Impala also along with push button radios. Our trucks were not available with push button radios but you always had these companies to get what you wanted.
