Motor Mounts for 327 in a '62

So I found some motor mounts online a while back. I was told they fit 62 just fine but will need some holes drilled into the crossmember and the frame.

Has anyone put motor mounts in a 60-62? Just looking at the mounts and resting them on the frame and crossmember doesn't look right. Is there more modification or spacers needed to get everything to line up right?

Sorry if this is a real amateur question.

I've got all the body parts off the front end. Looking to clean up the frame, crossmember, and upgrade/replace what I can of the T Bar suspension. Finally decided to stick with what I have and just upgrade to disc brakes and be done with the suspension. Really want to get this truck on the road this year. I'm in Wisconsin so I only have a few months to drive each year. .

My original '62 283 mount is a big U shaped saddle mount bolted onto the front of the engine

Then there are 2 additional mounts, one on each side of the bell housing.

If the mall block was coupled to a bellhousing and a manual trans, the front saddle was used. If the engine was coupled to an auto trans, the side mounts shown in the pic MusicMan70 posted were used.

I believe the OP has a set of aftermarket engine mounts. To my knowledge none of the aftermarket engine mount brackets are made specifically for the shorter '60-'62 frames. They will require a spacer on top of the frame. I just don't know how thick. The best fitting engine mount brackets I have found for the '60-'62 frames are the '67-'72 small block engine mount brackets. I believe they may still require a spacer of about 1/4", but I would tray them without first.

On my 62 I used the 63-66 engine mount brackets and they did require a 1/4 inch spacer at the top.
