Looking for the factory rear exhaust pipe hanger and brackets. Looking for the same side dual tail pipe set up. Here is a pic of what I'm looking for. I need 2 sets of I can find them

I bought mine for my TBI 87 V3500 new GM from a dealer. Check with GM locate like partsvoice. Do you need the numbers?

I'm actually looking for the rear cat & pipes from an 87/88 one ton and front frame mounted catalytic converter heat shield and brackets from 87 4x4 standard cab or any 87-91 standard cab one ton in case you have any leads.

I would take any part numbers you might have. I'm looking to put correct tail pipes on my 87 V/30 and my 85 K/20

Joe, are you having a Shop bend your exhaust, or have you found a kit? I'd like to put factory tailpipes on my 89' v3500, but haven't seen factory looking exhaust kits. Trevor

No kits, I'm just rounding up nos pieces.

There are two sellers on ebay selling NOS tailpipe(s) for 87 88 30/3500. One priced at $306 and the other at $341 +/- IIRC, that's plus shipping. I'm struggling with those prices. I bought a flowmaster mandrel 3" universal tailpipe kit, 3"x2.25" splitter and stock 83 LH K30 tailpipes. I will stagger the tailpipes and add one bend to one of them to replicate OEM.

I have an image of an 87-88 C30 with such tailpipe and I can tell from the image of the 87 20 series you posted that despite similarity, they are different as in over/under past leaf spring.

I did buy the brackets and hanger per the numbers you gave me. I also bought the tailpipes 15584681. This will all go on my 87 V/30. I also want to do this to my 85 K/20, its a C6P optioned truck, 350, single exhaust, no converter. I'm hoping to make this same set of tailpipes work on it. Any reason why it wouldn't?

Where did you buy the tailpipe and how much did you spend? Would like to see image of the merge of one to two. It should be 3" pipe. Your C6P 85 is 8600 GVW. It must be pre-January 1 85 or a California truck because all C6P, including Suburban 85-86 from January 1 1985 through end of 86 had stainless duals except California. I also expect that all single exhaust V-8 is 2-1/2" unless cat. and fuel injected.

That pipe you have imaged there belongs on my 87 V3500 dually 454 4 speed pickup! Send it my way!

January 1 1985-1989 carbureted non California over 8500 GVW is H5D emissions with tubular manifolds 292T, 350M 454W. Your 85 C6P must be H4D emissions with cast manifolds. I believe there were several years 85 back for no availability on duals for 1/2 or 3/4 ton.

Would be interested to see more images of that pipe before and after install on V30. Can you confirm tailpipe diameter to be 2.25"?

I did encounter some NORS tailpipes at a swap meet last may in Massachusetts. It was obvious that they were smaller 2" pipe and for a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. I passed them by. I have a 1981 or 1982 C1500 roller out back that was a 305 automatic and dual tailpipe. in the 81-86 vintage, I believe they all used single in dual out mufflers unlike the injected one tons that had single 3" in muffler, single 3" out to a second converter, single in, single out, then split to dual tailpipe.

You should query the manufacturers for any 81-86 1/2or 3/4 ton longbed 4x2 or 4x4 for availability, Walker, AP, Merit, Maremont, Arvin. I have some of the old books and the GM parts books. I'll take a look if I get a chance.

You'll kill me if you cut up one of those NOS V30 tailpipes for your 3/4 ton. I have a better home!

I have found several of these tailpipes. I paid about $285 with shipping. It does have about a 3" inlet size. I can get a picture of it tomorrow.
My 85 was built December of '84. No California emissions. Never had a converter. But is a factory single exhaust. The only tailpipes I can find so far is the one for the V/30. I was just going to make one work in my '85 if I can.

yeah, I figured you ordered from them. I've bought from them before. A few days ago, I went through checkout on one myself and came within five dollars of your total shipped. I placed order through checkout with credit card. Next day, I get an email, order cancelled. Reason is either out of stock and/or unable to anticipate lead time from vendor.
